The Yale School of Management’s Economic Development Club (EDC) is hosting its Annual Economic Development Symposium on Friday, February 15th from 9:00AM to 5:30PM at Evans Hall, Yale SOM.
The Symposium is the EDC's flagship annual event, designed to bring together senior thought leaders, practitioners, and investors from think tanks, academia, government, international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector who want to foster social impact through economic development. It is a platform for eminent scholars, action agents and opinion leaders to debate and provide actionable recommendations on pressing economic development issues in emerging markets and the U.S.
This year’s Symposium will highlight big ideas in economic development, including Opportunity Zones, The Amazon HQ2 Contest, The Future of Work in the Digital Age, Community Wealth Building, Infrastructure Public-Private Partnerships, Childhood Investment in the first 1000 Days, Scaling Science, and Climate Resilient Development.
