Atlanta Chapter Yale Day of Service

Saturday, May 7 2016 at 9:00 am - 1:30 pm EDT

732 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd., NW
Atlanta, GA 30318
United States

Join fellow Yale alums for a meaningful and fun-filled Day of Service at the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) Product Rescue Center. The Yale team will participate in the critical steps of sorting, organizing and packing donated food for distribution to provide meals for thousands across Metro Atlanta.

Martha Brooks, a Yale College and Yale School of Management alum, who serves on the Board of Directors for the ACFB will also give us an update on the organization’s dramatic new 10 year strategic plan to "close the meal gap” for hungry Georgians.

Please make sure to wear your Yale gear and closed-toe shoes that day and brush up on Art Swersey’s Operations lessons, as we will be one of 3 teams “competing” in assembly lines. Snacks and water will be provided.

After volunteering, we will have a group lunch at Bartaco West Midtown (969 Marietta St, Atlanta, GA 30318) sponsored by the Yale School of Management Alumni Association.
