Dear SOMers, We have just been informed that SOM has accepted sixteen applicants from Hong Kong. This is probably one of the largest acceptances ever from Hong Kong, and is a sign that SOM is becoming increasingly attractive to Hong Kong applicants. Moreover, SOM is clearly demonstrating its interest in Hong Kong and China. We are going to hold a barbecue reception for the new admits, and would like to encourage everyone, and particularly the younger alumni, to come to give the new admits their perspective on what life is like at SOM, and to hopefully encourage them to accept SOM's offer, and thereby increase our alumni base. The following are the details: Date: April 10 (Friday) Time: Barbecue begins at 7:30 pm. Please bring your own wine/beer. Venue: 1 Chatham Path. Please take a taxi from Central/Admiralty MTR station. Tell the driver "3 May Road". This should be about a HK$25 ride. 3 May Road is a colonial 2 story building with a series of 12 garages. At the end of the building, you will see a telephone booth and the beginning of Chatham Path. Please walk uphill on the path, staying right at the fork. The house address is 1 Chatham Path. It is a colonial white house in the woods and it is the only house on the path. The walk takes about 6 minutes and is 400 meters from the 3 May Road drop-off. Dan will also be running a golf cart shuttle for those who prefer not to walk. Please do not ring the bell at 3 May Road.
