Q3 Quarterly Symposium, Chicago

The Yale SOM Quarterly Symposium series focuses on addressing critical civic questions from a uniquely Yale and SOM perspective. The facilitated discussion includes invited experts from the private and public sectors who bring real world experience working on these topics. If you have not been able to attend the first two quarters, you missed fantastic gatherings that brought together Yale alumni from across the schools to discuss important topics impacting our City, region and nation. Approximately 40 Yale alumni and guests attended the SOM Q3 event focused on bringing private sector resources to public sector challenges. The panel and discussion used a project for the Cook County Health System, who engaged the Civic Consulting Alliance and Bain & Co. to address key human capital and organizational challenges that they were facing. The discussion then broadened to identify and capitalize on the right opportunities for private sector companies to use their unique skills to help make government entities more effective.
