We are pleased to announce the launch of the Salon Series for our alumni here in the DC area. These events will occur every few months and will create a forum for a small group of SOM alumni to get together to explore a variety of interesting and relevant topics. ** Please note that attendance will be granted on a first come, first served basis, so please read below and RSVP immediately if you are interested in attending! The first Salon Series will be led by Martha Johnson, SOM'79, who has spent a career working between the private and public sectors, most recently as Administrator of the General Services Administration. The topic of the event is "Risk and Resiliency: Lessons for Leaders". Over the course of the evening, we will discuss Martha's GSA abrupt resignation from GSA, how leaders can identify risks, and approaches to managing significant challenges. Event Details: Date: Wednesday 16 January, 6:30pm Location: NW Washington DC, metro accessible (address to be announced) Attendees: the first eight alumni to respond by email to Sarah Smith (shsmith81@yahoo.com) The second event in the Salon Series will be "SOM's Role in Developing Community Finance". This event will be hosted by Andrea Levere and will take place in early March. Registration for this event will be available in February.
