She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania magna cum laude with highest honors in psychology and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan. She has won an IBM Faculty Award for her research, and has won numerous awards for her undergraduate, graduate, and executive teaching. Her research focuses on how people make meaning of their work in challenging contexts, and the experience of work as a job, career, or calling. Her current research involves studying how employees shape their tasks, interactions and relationships with others in the workplace to change both their work identity and the meaning of the job. Her research has been published in a wide range of academic journals in psychology and organizational behavior. She has engaged in research projects with IBM, Google, Sun Microsystems, The United States Military Academy at West Point, the University of Michigan Hospital System, Ness Technologies, and Burt's Bees. She teaches Organizational Behavior courses in the MBA and Executive MBA programs at the Yale School of Management. Gina Rosselli Boswell '89, President, Global Brands, Alberto Culver As president, Global Brands for Alberto Culver, Gina Rosselli Boswell oversees brands, such as VO5, TRESemmé, NeXXus, St. Ives and Noxzema, as well as marketing, research & development, package design and consumer insights for the company. Previously, Gina was SVP & chief operating officer of Avon North America, where she was responsible for implementing overall business strategies and transformation for Avon's largest region. Prior to joining Avon, Ms. Boswell was a senior executive at Ford Motor Company, where she held various positions of increasing responsibility, eventually leading the business strategy for Ford's global enterprise. Earlier in her career, she led mergers & acquisitions, investor relations, and corporate strategy for The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc., following several years as a consultant with Marakon Associates and Arthur Andersen. Ms. Boswell currently serves on the board of directors for Manpower Inc. (NYSE: MAN) as well as the nonprofits YMCA USA and Cosmetic Executive Women. Ms. Boswell was named a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute in 2005 and in 2007 was recognized as one of the top 15 women in business by the Forte Foundation and Pink magazine. Ms. Boswell is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University and received her master's degree from the Yale School of Management. Edward J. De La Rosa '81, Founder and President, De La Rosa & Co. Edward J. De La Rosa established De La Rosa & Co. in 1989 to provide capital for public and private infrastructure projects across California. In slightly more than 20 years, the firm has grown to become a leading underwriter and market maker for California municipal bonds and taxable fixed-income securities. Mr. De La Rosa believes in high-quality service and a high level of ethics. He served two terms on the Professional Qualifications Advisory Committee of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, where he set professional standards for investment bankers and bond brokers financing public and private projects. He also served two terms as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the California Public Securities Association. Mr. De La Rosa leads his firm's corporate citizenship program. The program supports scholarships, health-care services and other programs in communities across California. The firm's signature program is "Fabric of Society," an annual essay contest by which the firm awards scholarships to California public high school seniors. Mr. De La Rosa holds a Master's degree in Management from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. In 2004, he was awarded the Dean's Alumni Achievement Award from the Yale School of Management. Mr. De La Rosa currently serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Yale University's School of Management.
