An Evening With ZZ Packer YC'94, an Incandescent Writer on Writing, New York, NY

VENUE: Wells Fargo Advisors, Westchester Room, Third Floor Artists on the Brink, the Yale Alumni Association of New York, and the Yale Black Alumni Association are pleased to present an evening with coveted writer ZZ Packer (Yale College '94). This educational enrichment program will include a reading, talk, question and answer session, and an informal reception. Register now at for a memorable encounter with ZZ Packer on creative writing, the literary imagination, social engagement through the written word, and the writer's craft. Zadie Smith has hailed ZZ Packer noting that she "writes a short story with more complexity and kindness than most people can muster in their creaking 500-page novels. It is the kind of brilliance for narrative that should make her peers envious and her readers very, very grateful." John Updike noted that her "vision sizzles and fizzes." Join us for an evening with incandescent writer chosen by The New Yorker for its "20 under 40" fiction writers honor. This event will support the Summer Institute of the Arts (SIA), an arts education initiative in public schools. Donations to SIA would prove invaluable to nurturing young minds and stirring the imaginations of SIA students from the Bronx to Los Angeles.
