"Back-to-School Night" with Dean Sharon Oster and Professor Olaf Sorenson, Los Angeles, CA

Join Dean Sharon Oster, Professor Olav Sorenson, and fellow alumni for a stress-free evening of discussion and learning. Professor Sorenson will speak on "Venture Capital and Regional Economic Growth". Investments in venture capital have plummeted during the recent economic crisis. In the short-term this has made it more difficult for entrepreneurs to raise money, but will it also have longer term effects on the economy? Professor Sorenson will discuss the critical role that a local venture capital community plays in enabling entrepreneurs, creating jobs and raising incomes. A reception with Dean Oster, Professor Sorenson, and fellow alumni will precede and immediately follow the discussion. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. We look forward to seeing you!
