Hut Trip to Janet's Cabin

Hut Trip to Janet's Cabin Saturday, February 20- Sunday February 21, 2010 We have Janet's Cabin. Because it's so popular, we have only 12 spots (out of 20) Sat night, and 10 on Sun, so we will give preference to those who pay for both nights. With the Hut fee and the Snowmobile Tax (aka Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area Fee) the cost will be $45 per person per night. This is a moderately easy trip, about 6 miles in from the Copper Mountain ski area, with about 1000' elevation gain. The hut offers good bowl skiing on Jacque Peak, and it has a sauna! Located at timberline in the Guller Creek Drainage next to the Copper Mountain Ski Resort, Janet's Cabin is a fine hut that attracts both novice and expert skiers. The hut was completed in 1990. The lovingly crafted 3,000 square foot cabin is built with 10" Montana pine logs. Four bedrooms sleep a maximum of 20 guests. If you like mountain lounging you'll feel at home on the large front deck, where you can bake in the sun while you watch skiers descend from the high bowls. http://www.huts.org/hut_details/janet_hut_details.html Contact Tom Creighton, '76, tecreighton@msn.com
