ICF hosts 2023 Finance, Organization & Markets (FOM) Conference

On October 12 and 13, 2023, the Yale School of Management hosted the 2023 Finance, Organization, and Markets (FOM) annual meeting. This event, which was started more than ten years ago, is a leading conference for researchers interested in finance, economics, and management, and attracts most of the best researchers in the field.

This is the first time that the FOM conference was held at Yale SOM. The meeting was organized and hosted by Professors Kelly Shue and Song Ma, with the generous funding of the ICF and support of the ICF staff members, particularly Isabella Duenas and Karen Spitzer. The event brought together more than 50 top researchers from dozens of institutions in the US and abroad, including both academic institutions, government agencies, and regulatory authorities. The meeting covered a wide range of topics such as the future of work, regulations and firm performance, market power and its impact, social media and financial stability, biases in corporate decision making, and etc. The conference created a wonderful intellectual environment for researchers to discuss these major issues facing businesses, markets, and the society in great depth. Professor Nick Bloom from Stanford University delivered a keynote speech at the conference.
