Phil Davis '85 Appointed Executive Fellow

The Yale School of Management is pleased to announce that Phil Davis ’85, a Managing Director at Accenture Strategy, will become the school’s next Executive Fellow beginning March 2021. As a Yale School of Management Alumnus and a current member of the school’s Board of Advisors, Phil shares a strong commitment to the school’s mission. As an Executive Fellow, he will be embedded in the life of the school, regularly sharing his expertise with students, and offering a glimpse into the experience of a senior executive.

This Spring, Phil will be featured in the Marketing Leadership Colloquia series, a lunchtime presentation sponsored by the Yale Center for Customer Insights, which has featured leaders such as Laura Walker, President & CEO of New York Public Radio, Linda Schupack, President of Marketing, Entertainment Group at AMC Networks, and Tom Ascheim, President of Freeform. He will also be available for one-on-one meetings with students as part of ongoing virtual office hours.  

Phil DavisDavis joins Yale as a Managing Director at Accenture. With over 25 years of strategy consulting experience focused on customer-centered growth and broad-scale business transformation, Phil has led customer experience improvement and transformation across Travel, Industrials, Software & Platforms, Banking & Payments, Technology, and Telecommunications industries for clients across North America, Europe and Australia. Prior to joining Accenture, Phil has held positions in strategy consulting and business operations across a variety of brands including Visa, BearingPoint, Citibank, and Bain & Co. Phil received an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a concentration in Strategy and Finance and a BA in Economics from University of Pennsylvania.  

 Phil’s personal philosophy, “that purpose-centered, innovation-enabled enterprises will lead growth in human terms around experience, diversity, and sustainability,” is aligned greatly with recent research initiatives from the Center for Customer insights. Faculty Director Ravi Dhar notes that, “Phil’s life-long commitment to drive growth and strategic change across industries is what makes him an excellent candidate for the Executive Fellow Program at the Yale School of Management. As an SOM Alumnus, Phil is uniquely suited to engage with students and guide them in applying their learnings in a practical way.”
