Learning from Leaders: Good Habits, Bad Habits with Wendy Wood

How do we form the habits that impact our productivity in everyday life, for better or worse? Wendy Wood, Provost Professor Emerita of Psychology and Business at the University of Southern California, will join the Learning from Leaders webinar series to share insights into how people form habits and change bad habits based on her decades long research. She will also dive into more recent consequences of bad habits focusing on social media use and health. These insights will help us better understand how habits predict and drive consumers’ everyday behavior.
Wendy Wood is author of the book, Good Habits, Bad Habits, and President-Elect of the Association for Psychological Science. She is Provost Professor Emerita of Psychology and Business at the University of Southern California and has held endowed chairs at Duke University and Texas A&M University. Her research has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Career Contribution Award from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. She has published over 150 articles in professional journals and her work is regularly featured in media outlets like NPR, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Forbes, and Psychology Today. Wendy has collaborated and consulted with a variety of organizations on habit formation and change, including the World Bank, P&G, the Produce for Better Health Foundation, the CDC, and the U.S. Paper & Packaging Board.
