Stakeholders, Management, and Capitalism:
Conversations with leaders on how to manage stakeholders in diverse settings
Our program has launched a speaker series in partnership with the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM): Stakeholders, Management and Capitalism: Conversations with leaders on how to manage stakeholders in diverse settings.
Through interviewing accomplished business leaders, our goal is to foster a global conversation that addresses a significant challenge executives confront today—navigating a diverse ecosystem of stakeholders, ranging from customers and employees to investors and communities in a business environment marked by unprecedented change and an accelerated pace of information-sharing.
How do management teams address demands for sustainability, fostering an inclusive corporate culture, and investing for future success while delivering near-term results? How do leaders decide whether or not to take positions on ‘hot button’ societal issues? Does meeting stakeholder expectations inevitably result in a tradeoff or can it be an opportunity for innovative solutions?
Running through June 2024, the series launched with Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo on November 6, 2023, followed by former Unilever CEO Paul Polman on November 13, 2023.

Global Network member schools are contributing to the speaker series by hosting interviews with senior executives on the topic of stakeholder management and inviting GNAM students to join virtually. The video recordings will be accessible to the public here on our website in the coming months.
About the Global Network for Advanced Management:
GNAM’s mission is to drive innovation and create value by connecting leading global business schools, their resources, and their stakeholders. Launched in 2012, the global network includes 32 leading business schools from diverse regions, countries, cultures, and economies in different phases of development. Member schools connect their students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other constituencies so that they can deepen their understanding of differences and commonalities in their economies and increase their effectiveness. Today, many Global Network schools are already exploring aspects of stakeholder management To find out more, visit the GNAM website
