The Volcker Lecture Series

The Volcker Lecture Series is presented by the Yale Program on Financial Stability and sponsored by The Volcker Alliance, a nonprofit founded in 2013 by former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Paul A. Volcker. The Alliance is dedicated to advancing his vision of an empowered public sector workforce, promoting innovation in public service education, connecting emerging leaders to government opportunities, and carrying forward Mr. Volcker's lifelong commitment to public service.

Launched in 2026, the annual three-part lecture series applies Mr. Volcker's principles to the financial and policy challenges of today, each year featuring a new distinguished speaker from the worlds of finance, regulation, and public service. The inaugural lecture featured former FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg.
