I was always intrigued by the life of a professor…My mom taught throughout my life. I'm a huge admirer of my parents, who are both still living… my mom was a teacher and a headmistress. The job that she did as a teacher is the job she found most rewarding. Then there was my personal experience: my mom is the best teacher I ever had, and so there was my reverence for that. So that was one kind of hint, or tug, or push, or nudge, in this direction.
