Graduate Checklist

*EMBA Students should check in with their program coordinators regarding to-dos.

ASAP | Travel & Accommodation: Hotel and restaurant reservations fill quickly during Commencement Weekend. Please secure necessary reservations as soon as possible.

ASAP | Visas for Guests: It is Yale policy not to issue individual invitation letters for family members. The U.S. Department of State accepts invitation letters written by graduates as a supplemental document for visa applications for family and friends attending Commencement. Graduates can also use the email sent from Secretary Goff Crews to students inviting them to Commencement as a supplemental document.

February 2, 2026| Ordering for regalia opens via the Yale Hub.

March 27, 2026 | Last day to order regalia without a late fee: To avoid late fees, all regalia orders must be placed by 4pm via the Yale Hub. After this day, a $10.00 late fee will be charged by the University.

April 6, 2026 |Name Changes Due: Check your diploma name in the Yale Hub. You can use your preferred first name if it is different from your legal name. This is the last day to make change, which you can do via the Yale Hub.

April 10, 2026 | Last day to order regalia: After this day at 4:00PM, no orders will be accepted.

May 5, 2026 | Complete your registration: Last day to confirm your attendance and other important information in the Commencement Registration Form. | Register for events on CampusGroups.

May 13 - May 18, 2026 | Pick up Regalia at Payne Whitney Gym. You can find the full schedule on the Yale Commencement page.

May 15, 2026 | Pick up Commencement packet from 11:30AM - 1:00PM outside of the Ross Library or after the Commencement Rehearsal.

May 18, 2026 | Pick up your diploma in the Atrium from 2:30PM- 4:30PM. If your diploma is not picked up directly after the ceremony, you can request to have it mailed by submitting a Diploma Order form at anytime. Click for more information regarding diplomas.
