Visit Yale SOM

Visiting Yale SOM is the best way to explore our program and get to know the broader Yale community as a part of your application process. During your campus visit, you will have the opportunity to experience a class, speak with student admissions ambassadors and an admissions officer, and take a tour of Yale SOM and Yale University.

The Admissions Office hosts campus visits on most days classes are in session, on Monday through Thursday during the academic year. Advance registration is required to visit campus.

Campus Visit Schedule

Due to building security, we advise you to plan your arrival to Evans Hall after  9:00 a.m.

9:30 a.m. Arrival and Registration
10:10 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Class Experience
11:40 a.m.–12:45 p.m. Yale SOM Tour and Lunch with Class of 2015 students (Lunch will be provided)
1:00 p.m.–2:20 p.m. Yale University Tour 
2:30 p.m.–3:15 p.m. Closing Q&A Session with an Admissions Officer and Class of 2014 students

Planning Your Visit

Registration is required in order to join our campus visit program. Due to building security, we cannot accommodate walk-in visitors. Please register for a campus visit in advance as our schedule fills quickly. If you are unable to make your scheduled visit date, please cancel your visit online or by calling the Admissions Office with at least two business days' notice.

Parking information will be provided in your campus visit confirmation email after you have scheduled your visit online.


An interview is required to be admitted to Yale SOM. Interviews are given only by invitation of the Admissions Committee. If you are invited to interview, you will be notified by email. Yale SOM is closely tied to Yale University. While you’re visiting the Yale SOM campus, we encourage you to explore the rest of Yale University as well as the city of New Haven.

Visit the Yale University Tours page to learn about tours of the University. You can join a guided tour of Yale, or take a self-guided tour while listening to the an MP3 audio tour. Copies of the self-guided tour map and route are available at the Yale University Visitor Center.

New Haven is a vibrant, walkable city that offers tree-lined streets, world-class restaurants, museums, outdoor recreation, and more. While you're visiting the Yale SOM campus, you may want to explore parts of the greater University and the city of New Haven.
