Meet the New Associate Director for Management Master’s Programs

Evelyn Wilson shares what motivates her in her new role.

Evelyn Wilson for inline

I am incredibly excited to begin a new chapter and join the Admissions team in the Management Master’s Programs. I bring to the team many years of experience in international education, beginning with my own study abroad in South Africa at the age of 16. I attended university in Edinburgh, Scotland, for my undergraduate degree, and from there moved to Hong Kong, where I taught for nearly a decade. I traveled a lot during those years, and I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced so much of the world. I truly feel that my experiences living, studying, and working abroad have shaped who I am today.

When I moved back to the U.S., I knew I wanted to pay it forward and help others to experience the world through international education and understand the importance of our global society. SOM is the perfect place to do just that.

I spent the last seven years at SOM as a member of the Academic Affairs and Student Life team, getting to know our students firsthand and helping them make New Haven, Yale, and SOM feel like home. The SOM community is a very special one, where everyone is welcome and differences are celebrated. Students from all over the world come together to learn from each other, experience all that Yale has to offer, and form lifelong friendships along the way.

It is a pleasure to get to know and work with such talented individuals and a joy to play a role in their experience at SOM. I have heard from many students how formative their time here has been and am looking forward to helping more students on their path to success through Yale SOM.
