Yale SOM Welcomes New Faculty Members
Scholars in operations, marketing, and global affairs joined the faculty for the 2026-27 academic year.
Three scholars in operations, marketing, and global affairs are the newest members of the Yale SOM faculty.
Jerry Anunrojwong, previously a distinguished postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington’s Clean Energy Institute, has been appointed as an assistant professor of operations at SOM, effective July 1. Anunrojwong earned his PhD in decision, risk, and operations at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Lan E. Luo earned a PhD in marketing, also from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He joined the faculty as an assistant professor of marketing, effective July 1.
Earlier this year, Mary Elise Sarotte joined Yale as professor of global affairs and management, a joint appointment between the Jackson School of Global Affairs and the School of Management. She also serves as director of the Jackson School's Brady-Johnson Program. Sarotte was previously a professor of historical studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She earned her PhD in history from Yale.
In addition, Uri Simonsohn of ESADE Business School will serve as a visiting professor of behavioral science for the 2026-27 academic year.
The school promoted the following faculty members:
- Barbara Biasi to associate professor of economics
- Christopher Clayton to associate professor of finance
- Jennifer E. Dannals to associate professor of organizational behavior
- Lesley Meng to associate professor of operations management
- Aneesh Raghunandan to associate professor of accounting
- Edward Watts to associate professor of accounting
- Kai Hao Yang to associate professor of economics
