Prof. Menaka Hampole Wins Wharton-WRDS Award for Best Empirical Finance Paper

Congratulations to Professor Menaka Hampole for receiving the Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) Award for the Best Empirical Finance Paper for her research on gender gaps. The award was presented to Professor Hampole on June 26 during the 2025 Western Finance Association (WFA) annual conference in Utah.

The winning paper, co-authored with Francesca Trufa (University of Michigan) and Ashley Wong (Tilburg University), is titled, "Peer Effects and the Gender Gap in Corporate Leadership: Evidence from MBA Students".
