2025 Alumni Appreciation Week
This November, Yale School of Management students picked up pens instead of keyboards during Alumni Appreciation Week, demonstrating that authentic gratitude can strengthen an entire community—one personal note at a time.
This November, Yale School of Management students once again proved that in our digital world, nothing beats the personal touch of pen on paper. The fourth annual Alumni Appreciation Week filled Evans Hall with the energy of gratitude as students crafted heartfelt messages to the graduates who came before them.
Led by Student Government representatives Sivagami Lakshmanan ’26 and Terrence Zheng ’27, this year's initiative inspired students to write nearly 300 handwritten letters to members of the alumni community. The recipients span alumni from the charter Class of 1978, through the most recent graduates from the Class of 2025.
While most letters found their way to individual alumni by month's end, some students chose to address their gratitude to the broader SOM community. The collection below captures their authentic voices—genuine gratitude and the sense of belonging that defines what it means to be part of Yale SOM.
