Tell us about your International Experience trip. Where did you go? What was your favorite experience?

The Israel International Experience was easily one of my favorite trips I have been on. The course focused on not only learning why Israel is called the Startup Nation but also on the history and evolving landscape of the country. During the trip it was incredible to meet with such a wide variety of companies, government officials, a desalination plant, and local SOM alumni. Professor Zauberman made the trip truly special as he showed us so much of the culture by walking us through local markets, playing beach volleyball at night with us, and bringing us to off the beaten path shops for incredible food. There were many highlights such as spending the night in a kibbutz, floating in the Dead Sea, and touring Jerusalem, but my favorite experience was exploring Tel Aviv with my classmates on our off day. During this day we were able to see so many of the different neighborhoods and get to experience what makes Israel the Startup Nation.
