What is your favorite class at Yale SOM? Briefly describe why.
Of the core courses, Sourcing and Managing Funds stood out to me. Professors Rouwenhorst and Thomas take what is known to be a relatively rigid course and add their own unique takes and deep insights. For instance, we are introduced to the concepts of competition and are reminded to be cognizant of how to incorporate them in our models while critiquing industry-based models. Moreover, we are provided with a comprehensive insight into the CFO's thought process which makes it equally insightful for those who have exposure to the field and those who don't.
