Why did you choose to attend Yale SOM?
I came to SOM for two main reasons: Yale SOM's mission and the wonderful people you connect with in Evans Hall. Yale SOM's mission of educating leaders for both business and society directly aligned with my career aspirations of working in the sustainable food and beverage industry. Yale SOM's close collaboration with the Yale School of the Environment would allow me to learn more about food systems and have access to countless alumni that have dedicated their careers to solving issues of climate change and food insecurity by launching sustainable food and beverage brands. Perhaps the most important criteria for attending Yale SOM was the community I interacted with throughout the admissions process. Everyone I met was welcoming, passionate, collaborative, and driven. I have found that students at Yale SOM are driven to solve the world's problems rather than driven by a competitive nature.
