Why did you choose to attend Yale SOM?
I chose Yale SOM for a few main reasons. First, given my non-traditional background (opera singer, nonprofit fundraiser), I was drawn to SOM's human approach to its core curriculum, which offers the opportunity to learn about a wide range of functions from different stakeholder perspectives. I was also drawn to SOM's diverse student-body—my peers come from all over the world and have experience in everything from consulting and finance to teaching and curating museum exhibits— so I knew my unique background would be supported here. Finally, I felt 100% aligned with SOM's mission to educate leaders for business and society, and I have been so pleased to find that mission embedded in much of what we do at SOM, from core courses to clubs.
