Tell us about your International Experience trip. Where did you go? What was your favorite experience?
I went to Peru with Professor Rodrigo Canales to take a look at the role of business and government institutions in economic development in Latin America. It really brought the &Society part of our mission to the forefront, with a lens on using profit measurement as a guiding rule rather than as a single driver to continually feed. We also learned about the interplay of policy and business, and how that relationship differs from what you typically see in the US. I had a great time getting to know a super diverse set of people at SOM extremely well (and in a completely different context) and had some of the best food of my life.
