Since graduating from Yale SOM, Christine Bader ’00 has built a multisectoral career dedicated to researching and advocating for the responsibility of companies for human rights in the communities where they do business. After managing corporate social responsibility issues for BP in Asia, she was an advisor to the special representative for business and human rights at the United Nations. She has held teaching and advisory positions at Columbia University, Duke University, and Business for Social Responsibility. She was named a 2012-13 Donaldson Fellow by Yale SOM, in recognition of her accomplishments embodying the school’s mission to educate leaders for business and society.
Bader served as director of social responsibility at Amazon from 2015-17. She is the author of The Evolution of a Corporate Idealist: When Girl Meets Oil and Who’s Responsible for Corporate Responsibility?
