The Yale School of Management offers one MBA, provided in two different formats. Find the similarities and differences between both programs in the table below.

Class Schedule Classes meet Monday through Thursday during the academic year. Classes meet year-round on alternating Friday/Saturday weekends, with a 2-week in-residence period at the start of Year 1 plus a 1-week in-residence period to start Year 2.
Company Support/ Sponsorship There is no company sponsorship or endorsement required as part of the admissions process. Company endorsement is required regarding the time commitment necessary to participate fully in this program while working. Corporate financial sponsorship is not a requirement.
Core Students in both programs take theĀ Yale integrated core curriculum, learning to approach questions and problems from many perspectives by synthesizing multiple academic disciplines and diverse viewpoints.
Leadership Development Program (LDP) LDP advances your leadership goals through skills building, leader development plan application in the university, and coaching.
Electives Second-year students may choose electives offered by Yale SOM and across Yale graduate schools. Advanced management electives are pre-selected for the program. Focus area courses leverage depth of expertise and resources across Yale University. Independent study option offers the opportunity to further a personal or professional area of interest.
Global offerings Several different global options to choose from, and at least one global experience is required. While not required, students may participate in Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) experiences offered by the Yale School of Management, including GNAM weeks and online courses.
Career strategy/ goal Career transition, entrepreneurial goals or a managerial step up. Career acceleration, entrepreneurial goals and increased leadership responsibility / impact.
