MBA/MA in Global Affairs with the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs

The joint-degree program offers an MBA in combination with a master of arts degree in global affairs. It is intended for students who plan global careers in the for-profit, government, or nonprofit sectors.

The master of arts in global affairs, which replaced Yale's master of arts in international relations, is an interdisciplinary degree program coordinated by the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs.

Structure

In the MBA/MA in Global Affairs joint-degree, students spend the first year at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs; the second year at Yale SOM during which they take the integrated MBA curriculum; and the third year, they take electives at SOM and elsewhere at Yale.

Admissions

Joint-degree applicants must apply to and be admitted to both programs independently. Applicants may apply to both programs simultaneously, apply to the global affairs program during their first year at Yale SOM, or apply to Yale SOM during their first year in the global affairs program.
