A Weekend at Yale
Your rigorous weekend at Yale begins on Friday morning and ends Saturday afternoon. It requires your absolute focus. You will spend 12 hours in class with your professors, attend your colloquium speakers series, and reconnect and deepen your relationships with other mission driven professionals. You will have opportunities to explore more of Yale University’s historic landmarks and traditions through activities scheduled across the campus. Attend professional development workshops facilitated by Yale faculty across campus who are thought leaders within their field. In order to inject flexibility into this rigorous weekend schedule we offer the use of our Extended Classroom. This enables students to attend classes through sophisticated video conferencing technology built into our classrooms in Evans Hall, which maintains the quality and integrity of the overall experience.

The Academic Calendar
The MBA for Executives program begins with a two-week in-residence session beginning mid-summer (beginning in mid-July). Subsequently, classes are held every other weekend, Friday and Saturday consecutively, for the next 22 months. Halfway through the program, you will spend one week abroad in June for the Executive MBA Global Network Week and complete a final one-week residency period the following summer. You will graduate late May with all Yale School of Management MBA candidates.
Your Campus and Accommodations
Getting to Campus
Our campus is located in New Haven, Connecticut which is convenient to Boston and New York with easy access from Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Amtrak Acela and Metro-North trains stop at the New Haven Union Station and, if you are traveling by plane, Bradley International Airport is an hour north and Tweed New Haven Airport is close to campus. Yale SOM is located at 165 Whitney Avenue in New Haven, Connecticut, at the northeast corner of Yale University’s campus. Your Classroom
As a student at Yale SOM, you will benefit from a facility tailored to maximize the strengths of our program. Our campus, Edward P. Evans Hall, is an architectural landmark at the north end of Yale University. The 242,000-square-foot Edward P. Evans Hall, designed by Foster + Partners, chaired by Lord Norman Foster ARCH ’62, is the home of the Yale School of Management. Classrooms designed to encourage discussion boost the effectiveness of the integrated curriculum. Breakout rooms and other communal spaces are designed to support working with teams. The transparency of the overall design combined with social spaces positioned at significant hubs strengthen the sense of community.
Accommodations
Students are required to stay at the program-designated hotel during the Residency periods (the two weeks at the start of the first year and one week at the start of the second year). Beyond these periods, the program–provided accommodation for Friday evenings is optional and students may realize a cost savings by forgoing the cost of accommodations.
