Every week, accomplished alumni and other leaders visit Edward P. Evans Hall at the invitation of student clubs, sharing career advice and insights into their industries. Here are a few of the speakers who visited the school during the week of October 9.
Monday, October 9
Maria Hinojosa, host and executive producer of NPR’s Latino USA, spoke to students as a guest of the Association of Hispanic and Latin American Students.
The Economic Development Club hosted a panel of second-year students who discussed their experiences interning this past summer in the international development and community development spaces.
Tuesday, October 10
Second-year students who spent this past summer interning at leading technology companies in the areas of strategy, operations, marketing, sales, and business intelligence discussed their experiences in a panel hosted by the General Management and Technology Clubs.
Thursday, October 12
Women in Management hosted the inaugural discussion in its Women in Leadership symposium, featuring speakers Priyanka Garg ’12, senior manager of loyalty and personalization at CVS Health; Charlotte Wong ’15, associate brand manger for Nerf at Hasbro; and Smirit Vijay, a graduate of the Yale Global Executive Leadership program, vice president of Aker Solutions in Mumbai. The event followed a live case format and was hosted in partnership with the Marketing Club and Retail Club.
