Amanda Skinner, a 2008 graduate of Yale SOM’s MBA for Executives program, has been named president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, the organization announced this week.
Skinner, a nurse midwife, most recently served as vice president and general manager of managed value and risk analytics at Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. She previously was executive director of clinical integration and population health at Yale-New Haven Health.
“I am humbled and honored to be selected as the next president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England,” said Skinner in a statement. “I have spent the past 25 years working to advance health care to foster improved health and well-being, health equity and access to care. It is the culmination of a lifelong dream to be able to work in this capacity on behalf of Planned Parenthood.”
