YPFS Conference Call for Papers 2016

YPFS CALL FOR PAPERS

Date: July 29, 2016 

Venue: Yale School of Management

The Yale Program on Financial Stability (YPFS) is holding its third annual conference on Friday, July 29, 2016 on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. The conference is held jointly with the Journal of Banking and Finance (JBF) on the topic of “fighting a financial crisis”. We especially welcome papers that successfully bring academic rigor to practical questions faced by regulators.

Original contributions are invited on any topic in crisis-fighting, including papers on the optimal design of interventions, the evaluation of interventions from any past crises, or the cost and benefits of interventions for the real economy. Specific topics of interest include:

  • Emergency lending facilities
  • Guarantees
  • Capital purchases / injections in troubled institutions Good-bank / bad-bank structures
  • Orderly liquidation / resolution
  • Cross-border issues in crisis fighting

Full paper submission: 15th May 2016

Subject to the normal review process, a selection of conference papers will be eligible for submission for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance

Authors of papers presented at the 2016 YPFS conference are invited to submit their papers to JBF for consideration for publication in the special issue. Papers submitted for this special issue will go through the normal JBF submission and review process. Papers must be submitted through EES at http://ees.elsevier.com/jbf/default.asp and authors should specify YPFS 2016 for “Article Type” during the submission process.
