BIOGraphy

Brian T. Moynihan is the chief executive officer of Bank of America and has held that position since January 1, 2010. Moynihan also is a member of the Bank of America board of directors.

Moynihan leads one of the world’s largest financial institutions. Bank of America serves people, companies of all sizes and institutional investors with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services. The company serves more than 50 million consumer and small business relationships with approximately 5,100 retail banking offices, 16,300 ATMs, award-winning online banking with 30 million active users and the number one mobile bank with more than 14 million users.

Bank of America is among the world’s leading wealth management companies and is a global leader in corporate and investment banking and trading across a broad range of asset classes serving corporations, governments, institutions and individuals around the world. Bank of America is a leader in community development, philanthropy and environmental initiatives, with three major public goals: a 10-year, $1.5 trillion community lending and investing goal; a 10-year, $2 billion philanthropic giving goal; and a 10-year, $50 billion goal for lending to and investing in environmental initiatives.

Moynihan also leads Bank of America’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Council. Bank of America is consistently recognized by third parties for creating a diverse and inclusive working environment. Moynihan joined Bank of America in 2004 following the company’s merger with FleetBoston Financial. In 2010, he was elected a trustee of the Corporation of Brown University. Moynihan also serves on the board for the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
