SOM LA: Yale Day of Service
Sunday, May 4 2025 at 12:00 - 3:00 pm EDT
16641 Roscoe Pl, North Hills, CA 91343, USA
Join fellow Yalies in Los Angeles for a unique Yale Day of Service Project.
This event is all about coming together to make the world’s most delicious meatballs to feed those across Hope The Mission shelters.
We need your help to prepare a quarter of a million meatballs to fight hunger, as we attempt to break the world record by preparing 250,000 meatballs for our neighbors in need.
Join us for a day full of community, laughter, and giving back, with special guest appearances from Darth Vader and Tie Fighter pilots! Together, we will help provide over 6,000 meals to those in need, and work to set a new world record for the most meatballs prepared in a single day!
We ask that you kindly register by May 2nd so we can provide a list of volunteers to the organizers at Hope The Mission. **ATTN- Non-SOM Alum- if you wish to sign up, please email Richard Hernandez (mr.richardhernandez@gmail.com) directly with your name, degree type, and class year!!
After the volunteer shift, we'll gather at Fratelli’s Pizza (16153 Parthenia St, North Hills, CA 91343) for lunch! Please note that lunch is not sponsored by SOM.
About Yale Day of Service:
Yale Day of Service is the university’s annual celebration of service, with Yalies banding together each year to give back to their local communities. In all, alumni communities host close to 300 service projects each year. We estimate that at least 3,500 service initiatives have taken place in the program’s history, dating back to its inception in 2009.
