NYC Master Class with Professor A.J. Wasserstein
Thursday, Sep 19 2024 at 6:00 - 8:00 pm EDT
50 Vanderbilt Ave, New York, NY 10017, USA
Topic: Exploring Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (Search Funds) - the alternative entrepreneurial pathway
Yale SOM Alumni are invited to join Eugene F. William, Jr., Senior Lecturer in the Practice of Management Professor A. J. Wasserstein, for a master class at the Yale Club of New York City the evening of Thursday, September 19th.
This session will introduce entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA) and search funds. This is a rapidly growing and exciting way for post-MBA students to launch an entrepreneurial arch without an innovative idea, operating experience, or capital. We will explore ETA basics, the pros and cons, and how the model works, including identifying appealing companies to acquire, operating the business, and exiting. Join us for a lively conversation on all things search funds.
Showcasing the signature and rigorous learning environment at the School of Management, this interactive discussion will also welcome high potential Executive MBA prospective students, as well as current students. Do you know someone who might be interested in the Executive MBA program at Yale School of Management? If so we encourage you to bring them as a guest.
The session will open with time set aside for alumni to connect with Professor Wasserstein. Appetizers and drinks will be served. We hope you’ll join us. Registration required.
