We will meet at Tung Chung MTR Station, Exit B at 1:30 p.m. We will hike for 3-3.5 hours to Sham Wat for a refreshment break. Attendees are encouraged to bring 1-1.5 litres of water, sunblock, an umbrella, and mosquito repellent to make the hike more comfortable. For a description of the hike, please click here.
About the boat tour:
The boat tour will depart promptly at 5:15 p.m. On the tour, guests will be able to see the traditional Tai O fishing village and its natural scenery. The tour will finish at the hotel pier with adequate time to attend dinner afterward.
About the hotel tour: The Tai O Heritage Hotel is a UNESCO award-winning hotel. Originally built in 1902, the building was originally the Old Tai O Police Station. In 2009, the Hong Kong Heritage Conservation Foundation revitalized the former police station into a nine-room boutique hotel. To learn more about the history of the hotel, click here.
