Thursday, Aug 1 2019 at 7:00 - 9:00 pm EDT
From Schwarzman Scholars
Schwarzman Scholars is pleased to inform you that we are hosting a private event for young professional applicants to the Schwarzman Scholars program. A description of Schwarzman Scholars is below, but in brief this is a Master’s program in Global Affairs at China’s prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing. The program is designed to build a global network of future leaders in politics, civil society, and business and to ensure those leaders have a deep understanding of China.
The Washington, D.C. event will take place on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at 7:00pm. Schwarzman Scholars alumni and incoming students will be there and most of the event will be structured around conversation among alumni and prospective applicants. Early in the evening, the Director of Global Admissions, Dr. Robert Garris, will give a brief introduction to the program and answer questions from attendees.
If you are 28 years old or younger and wish to be considered for an invitation, send an inquiry with your name, professional affiliation, which event you’d like to attend, how you heard about it, and a copy of your resume to info@schwarzmanscholars.org. Those selected to attend will receive the location information upon registration. If you are not eligible to apply, please consider sending us your recommendations of young leaders in your network that you think would be a good match for our program.
About Schwarzman Scholars
Schwarzman Scholars is a highly-selective, fully-funded scholarship program, based at the distinguished Tsinghua University in Beijing, designed to ensure that the next generation of global business, political and civil society leaders can effectively serve as bridges between China and the rest of the world. We achieve this by (1) recruiting promising young leaders—people who have the ambition and talent to take on executive roles in government, civil society, or business and who have a commitment to building understanding among people with differing perspectives; (2) educating them about China’s global role via a one-year Master’s degree in global affairs at Tsinghua and (3) linking them to senior mentors in their field in China and to their peers among China’s rising young leaders.
