Amy Whitaker, who holds an MBA from Yale and an MFA in painting from the Slade School of Fine Art, is the author of Art Thinking: How to Carve Out Creative Space in a World of Schedules, Budgets, and Bosses, which Walter Isaacson has deemed "fascinating." The literary critic William Deresiewicz writes of the guide: “Wise, savvy, humane, and beautifully written, Art Thinking is a celebration of the act of bringing new things into the world, including yourself.”
A joint event from the Yale Club of NYC and Yale SOMAA NYC Alumnae includes a reception at 6:30pm and Art Thinking practicum with Amy at 7:00pm. Learn to combine the mindsets of art and the tools of business in the pursuit of "inventing point B." The class is open to SOM Alumni of all pursuits and includes a copy of Art Thinking.
