Video: A Conversation with Carmax Founder Austin Ligon ’80

Austin Ligon ’80, co-founder and retired CEO of Carmax, will share his insights on entrepreneurship with the Yale SOM Class of 2017 and the Master of Advanced Management Class of 2016 during an talk as part of the classes’ weeklong Orientation.

Professor Kyle Jensen, Associate Dean and Shanna and Eric Bass ’05 Director of Entrepreneurship, will discuss Yale SOM’s entrepreneurship program and coursework and introduce Ligon, who helped launch CarMax while he was an executive at Circuit City and then led the company after it was spun off as an independent venture.
