An Evening with Yale SOM Professor Nathan Novemsky and the Global Network for Advanced Management
Wednesday, Oct 15 2014 at 10:00 pm - Thursday, Oct 16 2014 at 12:30 am EDT
You are invited to join Professor Nathan Novemsky for a talk on "Multiframing: The Right Approach to Complex Problems and Opportunities." Professor Novemsky is the inaugural winner of the 2014 SOMAA Award for Outstanding Alumni Engagement. An expert in the psychology of judgment and decision-making, an area that overlaps heavily with behavioral economics and consumer behavior, Professor Novemsky will examine how people know what they like, how the way they frame decisions affects the choices they make, how their goals influence their behavior and other topics in judgment and decision-making. Professor Novemsky also leads Yale SOM's Global Network week course taking place in New Haven the same week and focusing on Behavioral Finance, Economics and Marketing. His talk will be followed by time to network with students and alumni from the Global Network for Advanced Management. Global Network Weeks give MBA students and faculty the opportunity to pursue intensive study at another network school, in a focused mini course that leverages the perspectives, programs, and faculty expertise of that school. Alongside their counterparts from elsewhere in the network, students attend classes, tour local businesses, and meet with experts focused on current business problems. We are exploring the potential of offering Global Network Weeks for alumni, and we'd love your input and ideas on this concept too. Please join us for a great evening of learning and global networking. 6:00-7:00pm: Alumni focused presentation by Professor Nathan Novemsky [Please be on time, we will begin promptly at 6pm!] 7:00:8:30pm: Networking, Food and Drinks Where: Pera Soho, 54 Thompson Street, New York, New York When: October 15, 6-8:30pm
