This dinner is a collaboration with the Yale Club of China. Mr. Lei Zhang is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Hillhouse Capital Management Group, Ltd., a leading investment firm in Asia. Prior to founding Hillhouse, Mr. Zhang worked at NYSE and a global emerging markets fund. Prior to this, he worked with the Yale University Investments Office while a student at Yale. Mr. Zhang serves on the board of directors for 360buy (Jingdong), a Chinese Internet retailer; Blue Moon, China's leading household care company, and Global Mediacom, Indonesia's largest media and television conglomerate. Mr. Zhang is also a Trustee of the Brookings Institution. Mr. Zhang earned an MBA and M.A. in International Relations from Yale University, where he serves on the University Council. Mr. Zhang earned his B.A. in Economics from Renmin University of China, where he serves as the Vice Chairman and Trustee of the Board.
