2011 Net Impact Conference Student/Alumni Mixer, Portland, Oregon

Saturday, Oct 29 2011 at 11:30 pm - Sunday, Oct 30 2011 at 2:00 am EDT

As one of the largest and most prominent student organizations on campus, Yale SOM Net Impact provides a community for all students interested in using their MBA skills to promote positive social and environmental change. The club fulfills its mission by fostering a community of likeminded students, faculty and alumni, educating that community on current topics and events related to social impact, and advocating for curriculum, admissions and career development support. Each year, the national Net Impact organization holds a conference with over 2,500 people attending and featuring leaders and experts from all over the world. The 2011 conference (http://2011.netimpact.org/) was held in Portland, Oregon from October 27-29. Following the conference, alumni from SOM & FES got together with SOM students and local community leaders for a social mixer. About 25 alumni turned out and 40+ students for a great event, which proved to be the kick-off event for a new SOM Portland Chapter. Check out the photos below! Location: Widmer Brothers Gasthaus, The Great Room Cost: Alumni & Guests $15, Students free Register: http://events.som.yale.edu/index.php?eventid=964 (RSVP by October 21st)
