"Back-to-School Night" with Dean Sharon Oster and Professor Olaf Sorenson, San Francisco, CA

Join Sharon Oster, Dean and Frederic D. Wolfe Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship, and Olav Sorenson, Professor of Organizational Behavior, and fellow alumni for a stress-free evening of learning. Professor Sorenson will speak on "Venture Capital and Regional Economic Growth". Investments in venture capital have plummeted during the recent economic crisis. In the short term this has made it more difficult for entrepreneurs to raise money, but will it also have longer term effects on the economy? Professor Sorenson will discuss the critical role that a local venture capital community plays in enabling entrepreneurs, creating jobs and raising incomes.
