Yale Day of Service -- Boston Roxbury Project Hope

Saturday, May 15 2010 at 2:00 - 4:00 pm EDT

The 1st part of the project entails collecting items prior to May 15 for women and families restarting their lives. Then on May 15 we will meet at Project Hope's office and assemble "Life Tool Kits." Project Hope staff members and an "Ambassador" (who is a former client) will host us at the site. While we are assembling the kits, the Ambassador will explain her experience of overcoming poverty and homelessness and how Project Hope has helped. On-street parking available. Accessible by commuter rail and bus lines. Note: participants will be asked to bring specific items for the kits that we will be assembling. These may include household items, toiletries, or items supporting a job search. The site coordinator will communicate with volunteers ahead of time about the needed items. Early sign ups are appreciated so that we can make these arrangements ahead of time.
