Edward P. Evans Hall: Career Development

Visiting recruiters and students interviewing for internships and full-time positions are benefitting from new Career Development facilities in Edward P. Evans Hall.

The Career Development Office now has 13 interview rooms (up from 9), a dedicated waiting area in Beckenstein Atrium for students preparing to interview with visiting recruiters, a recruiter lounge, and access to the latest technology enabling students and recruiters a better presentation experience.  As students, recruiters, and CDO staff acquaint themselves with the new spaces, they shared their first impressions.

“The Career Development space in the new building is absolutely first rate in every way. Our entire recruiting team of 10 interviewers was blown away. Great individual interview rooms that are fully soundproof and terrific common space and conference room areas that are state of the art. We can’t wait to come back.”

"The recruiters lounge provided us with a nice central huddle point for the team to talk strategy for the day ahead in privacy. The CDO space is now large enough to host a multitude of companies at once and I had the chance to catch up with fellow alumni from other firms who were also back on campus recruiting that day. I had several conversations during interviews with students who felt that the new space felt much more professional and put them in a more professional mindset as they stepped into the interview."

"The new space has been great for recruiting—it enables the CDO to accommodate more companies requesting to come to campus on any given day, as well as facilitating a much better interview sign-in process for the students."
