Spring 2021: Key Points

Spring 2021: Key Points

  • Yale SOM plans to operate in a hybrid mode for the spring semester, meaning that half of students will attend a given class session in person while the other half participates remotely, for most of the school year. Find more information on the Learning & Teaching at Yale SOM knowledgebase.
  • We will strictly follow Yale University protocols for viral testing and all other health measures stipulated for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Stringent steps are being taken to de-densify campus and implement safety protocols.
  • Developments in the prevalence of the virus, the availability of treatment, or guidance from government officials may require changes in announced policies.

Edward P. Evans Hall Building Access

The Yale SOM campus is currently closed to the public. Only members of the SOM Community approved to be on campus are allowed in Evans Hall or other parts of the Yale SOM campus. For more information, visit Working at Yale SOM.

Remote Work and Phased Return to Campus

The university continues to require staff members to work remotely when possible. The university is conducting an ongoing review and approval process of who will be returning to work on campus. If your position has been approved to work on campus, your manager will provide you with appropriate notice. The university will return staff members to campus in phases, as outlined on Yale’s COVID-19 website Phase 2: Research Reactivation
