Each year the Yale International Center for Finance sponsors the Global Network Investment Competition which is a one-of-a-kind contest dedicated to equity investments sourced from top business students around the globe. Student teams from Global Network schools submit five investment ideas from the country in which they attend school for a chance to win cash prizes.

The first part of the competition is based on each team’s portfolio performance which is measured net of the respective local index over a six-month period, ending April 30, 2020.  Each team’s portfolio and stock picks are shown on the website along with interactive graphs that are updated daily. Click here to see a list of the 24 competing teams.

In the second portion of the competition, judges read through all 24 team’s  proposals and selected the top four teams to compete virtually in a security analysis stock pitch competition.  The teams will compete this Friday, February 7th, at 8:30am EST and will pitch their stocks to the judges.  At the conclusion of the event, the judges will deliberate and announce the winners of the security analysis prize based on their pitches.

The competition judges include industry experts: Adam Abelson, Chief Investment Officer at Stralem and Company; Michael J. Alpert, Portfolio Manager; Chair, Wealth Management Investment Committee at Stralem and Company; and Eddie Tam, CEO & CIO at Central Asset Investments and an ICF Advisory Board member.
