Video: Liwei Wang ’20 Discusses Multimedia Project ‘Chinatown Stories’

Liwei Wang ’20, a joint-degree graduate of Yale SOM and  the Yale School of Architecture, recently discussed Chinatown Stories, a multimedia project he developed as an architecture studio exercise with School of Architecture classmates Ray Wu and Winston Yuen, in an episode of the Schwarzman Center’s web series, One.

Chinatown Stories “investigates the unique qualities of urbanism in [New York City’s] Chinatown through the lens of often-ignored artifacts of architecture and urbanism like takeout menus, signage, and pop culture representation,” said Wang of the project, which was named a 2019-20 winner of the Arts & Media Innovation Awards presented by Tsai CITY and Yale’s Asian American Cultural Center.
