TBC at Yale SOM Launch Newsletter #8
Forum Update from TBC at Yale SOM
Time is flying! The new year will be here before we know it and we have an important announcement regarding the 2021 Forum. When we kicked off communications about TBC’s transition to the Yale School of Management we asked The Broad Center’s network members to join us in New Haven in January 2021 for the first Forum hosted by Yale SOM. Now, we are almost eight months into this pandemic and have spent many weeks reimagining not only our everyday lives but also the way we educate students across the country, much of that being done creatively in online and remote formats. Under these circumstances, we are also reimagining our traditional Forum. So, this January we will bring TBC’s network together for our first ever Virtual Forum!
The theme for 2021 Forum is ‘Leading Forward.’ Familiar highlights from past Forums will be featured at the Virtual Forum: cohort connections, inspiring speakers, opportunities to network and learn and filling your cup with the energy of TBC’s vibrant community. The in-person aspect of Forum is truly special and we cannot wait to bring people together in-person when conditions allow. Rather than postponing a gathering of TBC’s alumni we are moving forward with Virtual Forum and we plan to hold a gathering in New Haven in the future, ideally later next year. We will share information as soon as we know what is possible.
In the meantime, TBC network members should mark your calendars for Thursday, January 14, 2021. We will follow up with more details on the timing and agenda. Spread the word among your cohort and your connections across our network. Registration will open in November so keep an eye out for more information soon! The many suggestions for The Forum collected via the Network Member Survey have been incredibly insightful and we look forward to bringing your voices and visions together.
More to come soon.
